Soooo, whats up with you all? This week went by WAY fast, because I was looking forward to conference the entire week. We've had some really good lessons this week, but still nothing in the way of progressors or people actually getting baptized. But patience. I've been learning a TON this past week about how to teach people and what not, so we're putting a lot of things into practice. Oh man, HOW SWEET WAS CONFERENCE!??? Can I get a "greatest session EVARRRRRRRRRR!!!!" from the crowd? Yeah, I think so!
Priesthood session was SWEEET! Pres. Uchtdorf's smackdown on pride was the COOLEST! And Pres. Monson is just a powerhouse lately! It's awesome. I loved Elder Holland's shoutout to the members. This church really does have the greatest members ever. And aren't we so blessed to have a living prophet today? Man, there's a lot to be thankful for.
So, in other news, my companion and I got ahold of some of those exploding poppers that you throw and they go "BANG!" and we've been devising ways to scare the crap out of eachother. I've found that his most vulnerable time is right after he's coming out of the bathroom, but I just put one in the running track of the mirrors, so when he closes it, hes in for a surprise. Shhh, don't tell him! Finding hasn't really been that successful lately, and it seems like we can't get ANYONE to church, but the Lord has a plan. I just need to be patient.
So on Saturday, we had apartment inspections, and we made lunch for the office staff after the inspection: I made tortillas and my companion made carne con chile. They loved it. It was awesome. ANd today we have zone pday and we're playing volleyball and watching the awesome Joseph Smith movie. It should be sdweet. So it's gettiing way cold here in Virginia. It's like, 52 degrees as of time of wrting this, sorry, my english sucks. I should probably go back to school after the mission and take some basic english classes again. Lets just say Juliann shouldn't ask for me to sub her class when they're going over englsihs stuff.
Oh, so the office staff. Sister Henrie, the secretary, she keeps me updated on the UNR scores and whatnot. I think she's from Idaho, but she has a UNR sweatshirt, so me and her get along just fine :)
As for blankets, I'll be fine. I had to buy one down in Virginia Beach, but I couldn't bring it up here to richmond with me, so my companion is letting me borrow one of his blankets. But I think he's leaving this transfer, so I might be making another trip to wal mart....
Thank you for the pictures. They were awesome. I was thinking "Where did she take those from?" I almost didn't recognize nevada! Sad day, huh?
Well, I hope everything is goikng well for you. Have a wonderful week and I love you all mucho grande
